Cathedral Music

The Cathedral prides itself on a fine tradition of church music.  For inquiries regarding the choir, or cantors, please contact the Music Administrator

The Cathedral Choir rehearses on Thursday evenings and sings at the 11am Sunday Mass, three times a month on average, as well as at principal Feast Days. The choir sings a varied repertoire, from polyphony to more contemporary. For the remainder of 2017 we have Choral Masses on: 2 November 7.30 pm - Choral Requiem Mass for All Souls; 2 December 7.30 pm - Advent Vespers & Carol Service and 8 December 7.30 pm -  Feast of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

The Cathedral Vocal Ensemble (6 voices) sings on average one 11am Masses each month and celebrate a Choral Mass in the evening once a month; members are professional singers. The repertoire largely comprises plainsong and Renaissance polyphony.
