Welcome to the Auckland Cathedral of St Patrick and St Joseph.

Blessings and Happy New Year!

A special welcome to those of you who are visitors to our shores.

The Cathedral is the Mother church of the Catholic Diocese of Auckland, attracting many who seek the abiding presence of the Lord.

A M D G +Patrick Dunn, Bishop of Auckland

Welcome to the Cathedral

Peace to all as we continue our journey into 2018.

Greetings and Welcome to the St Patrick's Cathedral Website. The Cathedral is well situated in downtown Auckland, at the heart of New Zealand's largest city.

Some three thousand people attend Mass here each Sunday. During the week thousands more come to pray, light a candle or enjoy a moment's peace. The liturgical life of the Cathedral is rich and vibrant. May God bless our endeavours as we celebrate Jesus Christ ~ our Way, our Truth, our Life! Visit the Cathedral's Facebook page and you may have a sense of who we are... House of God, Icon of Christ, Mother Church, Oasis of Peace, Place of Prayer... home and place of community and celebration for God's people.

Please explore this site to learn more about our life in Christ, and feel free to contact us or visit us at our central city location for a more human welcome.
